Nassau, The Bahamas - November 2, 2010 - William Clarke, the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort's housekeeping manager, was honored at the 5th Annual "Salute to Greatness" Awards presentation and dinner on Sunday, Oct. 17. Clarke received the prestigious "Pioneer Award" for the hospitality industry. Hosted by the King Foundation, the "Salute to Greatness" Awards are presented each year to individuals and organizations globally that have made numerous contributions to enhancing the quality of life for others, exemplify excellence in leadership and have demonstrated a commitment to the principles and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This recognition is awarded not only to an individual who inspires others, but has also achieved success through consistency and longevity in their career. Mr. Clarke has served in the hospitality for 35 years, and 27 of those years have been with the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, formerly the Radisson Cable Beach Resort.
